At All Saints Academy, our Art Curriculum is guided by the National Curriculum for Art and Design 2014.
As subject leader, I possess the vision that the teaching of Art & Design will help children to be engaged, inspired challenged. Children will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art. Our curriculum design aims to enable children to think critically and develop a more rigorous understanding of the varied elements of Art & Design including: painting, drawing and sculpture. Through teaching, we endeavour to instil to children how art and design both reflects and shapes our history, creativity and contributes to the many cultures that surround us today.
